Meet our adoptable (or soon to be adoptable) equines looking for a home! These equines include donkeys, horses, mules, and miniatures who are ready to find their people. Rideable Equines

Zendaya
Zendaya is a Thoroughbred filly born on 3-20-26 to R Working Girl. She is smart and curious and ready for a home! We believe she will grow to be a big girl like her mother.
Zendaya’s adoption fee is $500
Fina
Fina is an appaloosa mare in her early 30’s who came to us from an owner who could no loner care for her. She spent the winter with us rehabbing, gaining wight and muscle and looks like a completely different horse! Our trainer decided to see what she knows and Fina is full of experience. Standing at about 14.1, she highly enjoys being groomed and a leisurely walk/trot around the round pen or stroll down the trails at the farm. Due to Fina’s age she will need a small stature rider who only wants to take it easy. Video’s per request after an application has been submitted.

Timber
Timber was born on April 4, 2026 to s stocky mother who was about 15.2hh. He is sweet, spunky, and already gelded. This boy is ready for his big adventure called life!

Skip
Skip is a big bodied, 21yo, quarter horse/appaloosa cross. He has a sweet personality and great manners all around. He enjoys hanging out with his horse friends, going for trail rides, and receiving human affection in the form of grooming and treats. Skip has heaves that is irritated by dust and seasonal allergies. Skip will need a home who is willing to treat his flare ups when they happen.
Skip’s adoption fee is $1000
Orchid
Orchid is a QH filly born on April 17, 2026. Orchid was born to Lotus (standing at about 14.2hh, pictured below) She is curious, fun loving and adventurous.

Highball
Highball came to the rescue via a seizure as a breeding stallion but has since been castrated. Highball is a 9yo paint QH. He has a super sweet, people oriented personality who wants to learn. He is decent for the vet and farrier and is doing really well with his handling skills with our trainer. In working with Highball, his reactions are very honest and inquisitive, and we do not believe he has been trained to ride. Because Highball was a breeding stallion for so long, he cannot live in a field with mares or share fence lines with mares for a few years or he remembers his past life very quickly. We are offering Highball for adoption as a training project.

Finn
Finn is a 8 year old Dutch Harness Horse Cross who came to the rescue as an owner surrender. Finn fractured something in his hip when he was two and a half and is not rideable due to this past injury. He is pasture sound but will sometimes fall when he gets the zoomies. Finn has a goofy people loving personality who is good for the vet and working on manners with the farrier. Finn is always happy to “help” you with chores in his field and is the first to come say hi when the volunteers come to feed or check on the horses. Finn is available as a non-riding companion horse only.

Stanley
Stanley is a 13yo mini gelding with some chrome! This sweet boy is a little stand offish to start, but he when he warms up, he enjoys your company. Stanley doesn’t enjoy the vet but is manageable and is good to groom and pick his feet. Stanley does have some insulin issues.

Rhapsodies Sign
Rhapsodies Sign is an OTTB born on 5-13-15. He is great for the vet and farrier, loads on the trailer like a champ, and does well for oral meds. He LOVES food and gets super excited when its meal time. He will sometimes do a hungry dance waiting for his breakfast or dinner. This good boy has mild ringbone and some kissing spine that makes him a non-riding companion only but he is pasture sound and ready to live out his days being the apple of someone’s eye.

Paloma
Paloma is a 15 yo palomino mare who has a sweet personality and appreciates attention. Paloma is available as a companion horse only due to some behavioral issues. Paloma is good for the vet. She will need a patient farrier to do her feet. Paloma is not a fan of a spray bottle but accepts fly spray if its sprayed on a rag or brush to apply.

Angelica
Angelica is a sweet but timid molly mule. She was an owner surrender due to a tragic loss in her owners life. Angelica prefers women over men and does take time to build trust. She is good for the vet and good to have her front feet done by a nice patient farrier but we have not been able to do her back feet yet. Angelica is difficult to catch unless she is in a smaller paddock or round pen. Angelica is looking for someone who is willing to put the time and effort into working with her to build trust and show her not all humans are bad.

R Working Girl
R Working Girl is a 2018 OTTB who had a baby on 3-20-26. Julia, as we call her, has weaned her baby and is now ready to live the single life again! Julia is a super sweet and BIG girl. Standing around 16.2+/-, she is great for the vet and farrier. Julia is available a companion only due to some soundness issues. This big girl is ready to be pampered by a loving family.

Elle Woods
Elle is a 15 yo mini mare with a spunky attitude and cute face! This girl sometimes plays hard to get but gives up when she sees a sweet treat. Not a fan of the vet but not terrible. Elle Woods is good for the farrier because who doesn’t like a nice pedicure!

Thumbelina (Bonded with Steele)
Thumbelina is a super sweet 17 yo mini mare. Mother to Steele. These two come as a package deal. Thumbelina is not the biggest fan of the vet but isn’t bad. She is good for the farrier and is just a nice little old lady!
Thumbelina and Steele’s adoption fee is $750
Steele (Bonded with Thumbelina)
Steele is a 13 yo mini momma’s boy. Steele and Thumbelina are bonded and will be adopted together. Steele is spunky and opinionated but is a good boy. Not the biggest fan of the vet, but likes the farrier just fine.

Mueller
Mueller is an 8yo mini mule, standing at about 36 inches tall. He’s cute, he’s cuddly, but he needs some training! Mueller loves to hang out with the volunteers and take in any attention and scratches he can coax out of the humans.

Magnum
Magnum is a 2002 model QH gelding. He is a funny boy who is a ladies man. Magnum loves to hang out with all of his girlfriends when he can. Magnum can sometimes be hard to catch but once he is caught he is decent to handle. He is okay for the vet and farrier but does need some work and patience. He hates having his temperature taken but who doesn’t! Magnum mixes in with herds really well and gets along with everyone.

Champagne Problems
Champagne is a fantastic, lovable Morgan mare in her early 20s who was never trained to ride. Champagne is a volunteer favorite for her doe eyes, super sweet personality and easy going nature. She is good for the vet and stands fairly well for the farrier. Champagne is a girls girl and gets along best with other mares. She has not shown any signs of past founder. Champagne is on daily thyro-L.

Coffee
Coffee is a 30 year old mustang mare who is hoping to find a nice quiet home. Coffee can sometimes be a little hard to catch but her food motivation works in your favor. Once caught, Coffee is good for the vet but needs a patient farrier. Coffee is a companion only.

Lucky Shot
Lucky Shot is a Thoroughbred mare around 27 years old. She has a bullet in her neck that is unable to be safely removed, but it does not bother her. She is a friendly mare who is available as a loving companion.

Mad World
Mad World (aka Matilda) is an 18 year old OTTB who is available as a loving companion.

Mozart
Mozart is a gelding in his late 20s, we are unsure of his breed. Though he is still learning to be caught (a cookie helps), he stands well for the farrier and is good for the vet. He may have insulin resistance, so he is looking for a home with a dry lot, minimal pasture, or an owner that used a grazing muzzle (he is good about keeping it on). Mozart is available as a companion.

Dijon
This handsome, now gelding, who arrived in early January 2026 is a super sweet but scared boy due to past trauma. He is working through his human trust issues with our trainer and is making slow and steady progress. Dijon will be made available for adoption when he is deemed ready.
Lotus
Lotus is a super sweet QH mare who is in evaluation with our staff and will be made available when she is ready.
Bonita
Bonita is a mini mule who is very scared of people. She has come a long way since arriving at Hope’s Legacy in the fall of 2023 but still is not able to be handled easily.
Redemption
Redemption is a pony mare in her teens who will be made available when she has been evaluated and ready.
Shandy
Shandy is a 5yo palomino mare who just gave birth to a healthy big colt. After the baby has been weaned she will be assessed and be made available for adoption when she is ready.
