Meet our adoptable (or soon to be adoptable) equines looking for a home! These equines include donkeys, horses, mules, and miniatures who are ready to find their people. Rideable Equines

Major Nelson
Major Nelson is a 5yo OTTB standing at around 16.2, who is trained to ride. He is good for the vet and farrier BUT can only live in a field with bossy mares as his field manners need to be checked from time to time. He is a sweet big boy who loves attention.

Sandusky
Sandusky is a 25 year old Appaloosa mare who came to us from a loving owner who could not care for her any more. She loves her food and attention! Sandusky currently gets 1/2 tablet of prascend to maintain her Cushing’s symptoms and is otherwise a healthy gal! She is looking for a home as a loving companion.
Sandusky’s adoption fee is $500
Coffee
Coffee is a mustang mare in her 30s who is hoping to find a nice quiet home. Coffee can sometimes be a little hard to catch but her food motivation works in your favor. Once caught, Coffee is good for the vet but needs a patient farrier. Coffee is a companion only.

Layla
Layla is a super sweet, attention (and treat!) seeking Tennessee Walker mare in her 20’s. Layla is easy to catch and is good for the vet and farrier. Layla does have some dental issues which requires her to eat grass and chaff, no hay. Layla is available as a companion horse only.

Moose
Moose is a 20yo, sweet, and shy Tennessee Walker who is good for the vet and farrier. Moose has sensitive skin and is sensitive to flys. Moose is available as a non-riding companion only.

Finn
Finn is a 7 year old Dutch Harness Horse Cross who came to the rescue as an owner surrender. Finn fractured something in his hip when he was two and a half and is not rideable. He is pasture sound but will sometimes fall when he gets the zoomies. Finn has a goofy people loving personality who is good for the vet and farrier. Finn is available as a non-riding companion horse only.

Pebbles
Pebbles is an Appaloosa mare in her 30s who is lively and talkative! She is visually impaired, but that does not stop her from knowing when food is on the way! Pebbles starts talking to our feeders when they drive up to the paddock. While Pebbles is not easy for the farrier, oral sedation helps farrier visits go smoothly. Pebbles loves people and would be a great addition to your home as a companion.

Champagne Problems
Champagne is a Morgan mare in her 20s. She is very sweet and loves attention. Champagne came to us overweight and her feet indicate issues with founder. She is currently pasture sound and can be managed with diet and exercise. Champagne’s previous home said she was never formally trained to ride, so we are adopting her out as a loving companion. If you want a buddy to greet you at the fence, she’s your girl!

Peaches
Peaches is a sweet, tall mare around 20 years old. She came to the rescue through a seizure in September, is good for the vet and okay for the farrier. Peaches is available as a non-riding companion only.

Dottie
Dottie is a sweet 17 year old Arabian mare. She can be handled but does need work on her handling skills. Dottie is okay with the vet and farrier. Dottie is available as a non-riding companion only, she is pasture sound but does show the beginnings of DSLD in her hind legs.

Fidget
Fidget is a a super sweet, curious Arabian mare under 10 years old. She is good for the farrier with her front feet, we are working on her back feet. She will need a little work on her handling skills. She is scheduled to see the vet soon for updated vaccines. Fidget is available as a non-riding companion only, she is pasture sound but does show the beginnings of DSLD in her hind legs.

Serena
Serena is a mare in her mid 20’s who came to us through owner surrender. She is a sweet and easy to handle mare who is not able to be ridden.

Squirt
Squirt is a sweet and a little goofy 19 year old Thoroughbred. He has not been trained to ride.

Valentina
Valentina is a super sweet Paso Fino in her mid to late 20’s. Valentina has a little separation anxiety so she prefers to be with her friends. She is great for the vet and farrier with the moral support of her pasture mates. She is available as a companion only.

Frank - Pending Adoption!
Frank is a spry older guy in his 20s looking for a home where he can get all the attention he wants! He is around 15 hh and is very easy to handle, groom and bathe. He also stand well for the vet and farrier. Frank is an easy keeper and would love to be in a pasture with friends. Frank is available as a companion.

Lucky Shot
Lucky Shot is a Thoroughbred mare around 26 years old. She has a bullet in her neck that is unable to be safely removed, but it does not bother her. She is a friendly mare who is available as a loving companion.

Mad World (aka Matilda) is a 17 year old OTTB who is available as a loving companion.

Luray
Luray is a 25 year old Thoroughbred mare who came to us through a large animal control seizure in Shenandoah Valley and was very thin. She has gained weight and is ready for her new home. She is ready for a companion home!

Mae
This lovely roughly 26 year old Morgan(?) mare is available for adoption as a companion. She has foundered in the past so she cannot live on lush grass. She loves attention and being brushed, she isn’t a huge fan of the farrier (but is getting better every time!). Mae is available as a companion.

Mozart
Mozart is a gelding in his late 20s, we are unsure of his breed. Though he is still learning to be caught (a cookie helps), he stands well for the farrier and is good for the vet. He may have insulin resistance, so he is looking for a home with a dry lot, minimal pasture, or an owner that used a grazing muzzle (he is good about keeping it on). Mozart is available as a companion.

Lyric
Lyric is a foal of about 5 months of age. We do not know her breed as she came to the rescue through an animal control seizure. She is cute and inquisitive and ready for a home to grow up and learn to be a horse in.

Zeus
Zeus is a spicy colt who was born on June 2nd 2025. He has been weaned and is currently working on halter training. Zeus will be scheduled for castration in the near future and is now taking adoption applications. Experience raising and handling foals is required to adopt.

Bullseye
Bullseye is an Arabian filly who was born on March 25, 2025. She was bucket raised and is very into people. Bullseye is currently working on her halter training. Bullseye will need an adopter who has previous experience raising and training foals or has a trainer that will be fully involved in helping raise and train Bullseye.

Spartacus
Spartacus is a friendly colt, born in June who sadly lost his mother. He is doing well on grain and hay. Currently Spartacus is working on halter training. Spartacus will be scheduled for castration in the near future and is now taking adoption applications. Experience raising and handling foals is required to adopt.

Ziva
Ziva is an spunky Arabian filly who was born in September 2025. Once she is weaned and old enough, she will be made available for adoption.
Angelica
Angelica is a sweet but timid molly mule. She was an owner surrender due to a tragic loss in her owners life. Angelica prefers women over men. We are working on building trust with Angelica. She will be made available when she is ready.
Fina
Fina is a 30ish year old mare who came to us recently when her owner was no longer able to care for her. She will be available once she gains a bit more weight.
