Firefly - March 5, 2011
We received the following email and photo October 25, 2011
Maya
I was just thinking about you. We took Firefly to
our first Pony Club Games Rally this weekend. She was awesome. She's
still loves people, hay, food, grass and treats. She has a great can do
attitude under saddle but still all pony. She's not going to do anything
she doesn't have to and she'll think about saying no, then do it, then
say, "Really. Do I have to?" She's great with the girl who's training
her and trying to figure out Ashby. She gets ridden every weekday by the
trainer and by Ashby once a week. She is as quiet as we thought she
would be, hence we could take her to something like Games Rally. The
whole family loves her and all the little girls in the barn think she's
the prettiest thing they've ever seen and fawn all over her. She's very
patient even without treats! She does seem to be a perfect fit for us
and as hard as the beginning of her life may have been, and we suspect
some people have been bad, the rest will be heaven.
Thank you so much,
Firefly was adopted to the wonderful Hatcher family where she is now enjoying hanging out with her new mini best friend and having several kids spoil and adore her.
Thunder - October 22, 2009
February 24, 2011 - Sadly, after an especially bad episode of colic, Thunder had to be euthanized. He will be greatly missed by everyone here at Hope's Legacy and our thought are with the Keller family in this difficult time.
Thunder was a 9 year old Thoroughbred gelding who came to Hope's Legacy in May of 2009 after having been abandoned at a boarding farm. He was a sweet guy who just needed to find the perfect family and in October of 2009 he did just that. He is now happily spending his days trail riding on the Keller family farm in Crozet, Virginia.
