Most of our horses have monthly expenses of approximately $100.  Please consider a monthly sponsorship to help with the feed, vet and farrier needs of these horses and ponies while they are awaiting adoption.

Anlo Raindance
Anlo Raindance is an approximately 15 hand, 19yo registered Appaloosa gelding. Rain is a personable guy and loves attention. He has been primarily trail ridden. He puts his head down to be bridled and can be ridden English or Western. Rain ties and stands quietly for the farrier and veterinarian. He leads or follows, will pony another horse and can be ponied. He also works well in the round pen. He has a forward gait and an incredibly smooth canter/lope.

Rain would be best suited for an intermediate rider as his seemingly quick gaits and “let’s get moving!” way of going might intimidate the less experienced. His new person should have an “I’m in charge” attitude. That said, Rain is fairly unflappable on the trail -- he crosses streams, bridges and has yet to spook at deer, birds or even snakes! He is currently unshod and needs boots for rocky trails/gravel roads. He can get the slightest bit heavey if kept in a stall for days at a time. Rain is an intelligent boy and wants to please his person. He would do best with an owner who will ride him regularly--- he is a young 19yo boy and has many years ahead of him.

Rain's adoption fee is $500.

Aladdin is a handsome 12 year old 14.1 hand Arab gelding. He is suitable for an advanced beginner and we are starting to work with him over fences. Aladdin is barefoot, stands for the farrier and vet and loads.

Aladdin's adoption fee is $500.

Buck is a 16 year old Appaloosa gelding. He is 14.2 hands tall and barefoot. He is a cute mover and would make an adorable hunter pony. Buck is not a beginner pony at this time, he does need an intermediate rider (he does live up to his name on occasion!). He has excellent ground manners.

Buck’s adoption fee is $400.

Dakota is a 10 year old, 15.1 hand gelding. We are not sure of his breed, Spotted Saddle Horse has been guessed as he is leggy, but he is not gaited. We were told that Dakota had been trained to ride in the past but we have not been on his back yet. He is blind in his right eye (caused by an injury) and that can cause him to be a little nervous about new things so we are taking it slow with him right now. Dakota's adoption fee is only $200 as he will need a fair amount of training.

Amber Rose
Amber Rose is a lovely and sweet 25 year old Arab mare. She was never trained to ride so she is strictly a companion. Amber Rose is roughly 14 hands tall and has no health issues. She is a very easy keeper. Amber Rose's adoption fee is $100.

Thank you to Jim Whitney for sponsoring Amber Rose while she waits for her new home!

Big Red "Red"
Red is a handsome 23 year old, 17 hand Thoroughbred gelding. He is retired at this point and is only available as a companion. Red has choked in the past so he does need his feed soaked. He requires a minimum of two meals a day and would do best with three. Do you have room in your heart and barn for this sweet gentleman? He has excellent manners and is a great favorite with all of the children who volunteer with Hope's Legacy. Red's adoption fee is $100.

Arthur is a charming 27 year old Thoroughbred gelding. He is currently only pasture sound due to
navicular problems. With careful care he may be able to be sound enough for very light riding.

Arthur's adoption fee is $100.

A better photo is coming soon!
